This compact unit from Karver offers a number of benefits with the DAME jury noting: "every detail has clearly been studied by Karver's designers. The finished result offers improved durability and reduced rope wear, ease of seviceability and handling and incorporation of a colour-coding system." 

The two-part grip pattern means the line is held over a greater surface area, making it both more efficient and kinder on the rope.

The trigger button design that replaces a traditional clutch handle is another neat feature that also enables remote operation.

The units are engineered for easy retrofitting, with bolt spacing identical to that of many popular models. 

Equally, servicing is streamlined as the case doesn't need to be unbolted from the deck.

The KJS12 is a rope clutch capable of holding up to 1.2 tons for ropes up to 12mm. It meets the vast majority of needs for a cruising or racing sailboat.
